-
TEAM Collective Agreement:
- Wage Increase: Effective Monday, February 20th you will receive a 2% pay increase, the second of three annual increases negotiated during the 2016 round of negotiations.
- MTS Sale: Members have asked if the Collective Agreement and certain Articles will remain in force when the sale to BCE closes on March 17th. Yes it will, including any and all rights pertaining to transfers between headquarters, severance, and the VRTIP.
- New Collective Agreement: Booklets and Take-a-Break coffee cards will be available for pickup next week at the following Winnipeg locations:
-
1730 McGillivray: Tuesday, noon to 1 pm
-
Corydon: Wednesday, 9:30 am to 10:30 am
-
Osborne: Wednesday, noon to 1 pm
-
Downtown and other locations: Volunteers to distribute to members
Booklets and coffee cards will be mailed directly to members working in the rest of the province.
-
New Representative: The IFPTE has assigned a new representative, Dave Sauer, to Western Canada. Dave will be based in the TEAM office and will work closely with our staff on matters impacting the TEAM membership. Dave's prior position was President of the Winnipeg Labour Council, where he was a strong advocate for keeping good paying jobs in Manitoba.
-
Check Your Personnel File: It has come to light that the Company failed to destroy old disciplinary letters as required by Article 15.07. We are therefore recommending that prior to completion of the purchase by BCE, members who may have received a written reprimand or disciplinary letter exercise their right under the Collective Agreement to ensure their personnel file is in good order by following the process in Article 15.06.
-
Check Your NCS Date: Members who worked part-time in Unifor/CEP or IBEW prior to winning a permanent TEAM position should ensure that their NCS date is the same as their original start date with MTS, subject to deductible absence (Article 7.06). An incorrect NCS date can affect all rights where NCS is a factor, including vacation entitlement. If you find a discrepancy, contact the TEAM office for instructions to remedy the problem.
-
TEAM Survey Results: Over 400 members participated in the January 2017 TEAM survey, clearly identifying job security as the biggest concern. Click here to see the high-level summary charts. Many hundreds of comments and suggestions were submitted and will form the basis for our initial discussions with BCE/Bell management. TEAM believes Manitoba is a great place to do business, and keeping jobs here is our goal.
-
Unifor Ratifies Agreement: The Unifor Local 7 membership has ratified a three-year deal with MTS. The annual pay settlement is the same as TEAM’s: 1.5%, 2.0%, and 2.0%.
