Today in Winnipeg General Strike history: May 30, 1919 - City police are ordered to sign an anti-union pledge. They refuse but promise to uphold law and order.
As well, Helen Armstrong is arrested in a confrontation for supporting bakery workers. She is arrested more often than anyone else during the Strike.
