Today in Winnipeg General Strike history: May 25, 1919 - Federal Minister of Labour Gideon Robertson orders postal employees to return to work. The Province of Manitoba and City of Winnipeg issue similar orders. 5,000 strikers in Victoria Park reject these ultimatums.
