VRTIP Tracking: Members in targeted and non-targeted positions have been informing the office of their intentions regarding the VRTIP. This information is critical to TEAM putting together plans in the event the Company moves to implement a layoff. If you know what your intentions are, or are unsure, and haven’t let us know yet, please click one of the below links. Your intention will remain confidential and will not be used without your permission:
-
Members in targeted positions: If you are in a targeted position, please click here and provide your name, position title, VP group, the VRTIP Category, and if it is your intention to apply for the enhanced VRTIP or not, or are unsure.
-
Members not in targeted positions: If you are not in a targeted position, but intend to apply for the enhanced VRTIP, please click here and provide your name, position title, VP group, and the VRTIP Category.
-
Trading Places: We have discussed with a number of members the prospect of a member in a non-targeted position taking the VRTIP and the member in a targeted position lateralling into their position or the job could be posted. By comparison to past workforce reductions, the relatively long departure-date timelines make this a real possibility, providing time for extensive knowledge transfer to take place. As many of us know, often when employees leave on short notice there can be a significant hit to a department’s performance, and may negatively impact customers. We encourage such initiatives and will work with the Company on retaining employees who wish to continue their careers at Bell MTS.
-
TEAM Meeting: A meeting for members in targeted positions will take place in the downtown Winnipeg area prior to the close of the VRTIP window. More details to follow.
-
Individual Discussions: Members wishing to have a confidential discussion about their options can call the TEAM office at 204-984-9470 or 1-877-984-9470, or email their questions to [email protected]
