Re: Directors Making Comments about TEAM
A number of members have expressed concern that their Directors are making comments about how TEAM conducts itself during negotiations in an attempt to undermine the relationship between TEAM and its members.
The Canada Labour Code strictly prohibits MTS, including its Directors, from interfering with TEAM’s representation of its members. By making comments on the quality of TEAM's representation, the nature of the negotiations etc., the Directors may be committing an Unfair Labour Practice.
Should a Director or other Company representative initiate a conversation with you about TEAM and/or the negotiations, you have the right to remind them that they are in breach of the Canada Labour Code and should stop, and that their comments will be reported to TEAM for consideration for action by their legal counsel.
