WSN Women and Unions International Conference Call Series February 26th 2018

You can now register for the first WSN Women and Unions International Conference Call Series!

Interested in hearing about women organizing in the workplace? In recognition of International Women’s Day, you’re invited to call in and learn about women’s views on unions, what issues are important to them and how they are organizing.

The call will feature guest speaker Jennifer Dorning, Research Director and Assistant to the President from the Department of Professional Employees (DPE), AFL-CIO. Her talk will touch on DPE’s research findings on the views of professional working women with insight into why women unionize and what issues are important to them. As well, WSN Co-Chairs, Tracy Miller from Local 160 in Ontario and Talaina Woodridge from Local 195 in New Jersey will talk about what women’s organizing looks like within IFPTE!
