From the Office

  • Women’s Memorial Lunch:  TEAM has a limited number of tickets available on a first come, first served basis, for the Manitoba Federation of Labour Women’s Memorial Luncheon:

                      11:30 am Tuesday, December 6, 2016
                       Hotel Fort Garry
                       222 Broadway
                       Winnipeg

The lunch is in honour of women who lost their lives to violence and in memory of the 14 women killed at École Polytechnique in Montreal on December 6, 1989.

  • TEAM Board Member Election:  Your ballots should be arriving at your home address in the next few days.  The candidates (in alphabetical order) running for the six non-Executive positions are:
  • Charlie Hendren
  • Steven Holt
  • Nicki Hughes
  • Kristine Knelsen
  • Kevin McClure
  • Bryan Parker
  • Roland Pokorny
  • Jason Whenham

The ballot package includes a brief biography from each candidate.  Ballots can be returned via internal mail (B2000), by Canada Post, or dropped off at the TEAM office.

Noteworthy

  • Members in the Defined Benefit Pension Plan have asked how long they need to work for MTS to receive the maximum pension benefit.  This chart shows the needed years of service for a given best five-year average salary level.  The pension benefit formula, with an example, is on the MTS Pension Plan website.
