RE:       Tentative Agreement Reached  


We are pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative Collective Agreement with MTS Allstream Inc.

TEAM recognizes the difficult economic climate and has reached the best deal possible under the circumstances.  Your Negotiating Committee is recommending the Agreement.  Key aspects include:

·          PLDs left alone

·          3 year Agreement

·          0% 0% & 2% on base salary

·          0% 1% & 0% on Variable Pay Plans

·          $500 lump sum payment (less deductions) in February 2012

·          Ability to grieve Variable Pay Plan payout issues

·          Effective February 19, 2011: first four hours of overtime in a week at time and a half; all others remain at double time.
(Premium Holiday Pay for Statutory Holidays unchanged at double time)

·          Acting positions that were not posted shall rotate after 12 months


Member meetings to share the full details of the tentative Agreement, answer your questions, and explain the voting procedures will be scheduled for next week.  Your support was appreciated by all members of the Negotiating Committee.  It made a difference at the negotiating table.
