Further to the update in our July 18th memo, the contract negotiations with Bell have not yet reached a conclusion, albeit the parties are moving closer. As frustrating as negotiations can be at times, our Negotiating Committee remains optimistic that an agreement we can endorse is achievable.
The parties have once again agreed to extend the conciliation process. The last day of conciliation is now August 8, 2019 (see the below timeline). Our Committee will be back at the negotiating table on August 7th to receive Bell’s response to TEAM’s most recent negotiating position.

On the assumption that we reach a negotiated agreement, we will move as quickly as possible to present the deal to the membership. Per Article 17.7 of the TEAM Bylaws, information meetings will be held to present the negotiated settlement and receive questions from members. The vote will be conducted via confidential electronic ballot. Approval (ratification) will be by a simple majority of the votes cast.
