Subject:  IBEW Strike MandateThe IBEW Local 435 received a strong strike mandate from the membership on September 8th

 

I would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to the TEAM Executive who have pledged their support if we indeed go out on Strike.

We are aware that MTS is approaching TEAM members and Retirees in Manitoba and asking if they will do our work if we go out on Strike. We do know that TEAM has sent their Membership the Canada Labour Code rules regarding their rights during a Strike or Lockout.

We will be continuing to negotiate on September 27th and 28th with MTS and will be in a legal position to go on Strike October 4th . We have been working very closely with the TEAM Executive. IBEW 435 pledges to continue to work together with TEAM Executive and Membership so we can reach a fair deal.
