Re: Termination of Letter of Understanding
On July 15, 2011 TEAM terminated the Letter of Understanding ‘Union Dues - Engagees Performing Bargaining Unit Work’ on the basis that the Company has engaged more than 70 contractors doing work within the TEAM bargaining unit.
Consequently, TEAM requires that the Company create Regular or Term positions for all TEAM bargaining unit work being performed by contractors, and that the positions be posted and filled in accordance with Articles 8 and 9.06 of the Collective Agreement.
To expedite the filling of these positions, the Company has been advised that TEAM is amenable to the simultaneous internal and external posting of thepositions, and has afforded the Company three months in which to complete the transition.
